A free community gathering for collectors, selectors and anyone who
likes records. Dig through the crates, bring your own to swap or sell,
or take a turn on the decks.
Not a purist 45s event. Music in all physical formats is
celebrated, swapped and sold here — LPs, 12s, cassettes, whatever you
dig out. Only the open decks are strictly 7", the format the
whole thing is named after. Hip-hop, jazz, soul, funk, disco, broken
beat, Afrobeat, Brazilian, Latin, reggae, boogie, rare groove, beats and
world groove. No gatekeeping, no egos — good music, good people and
community. Family and friends welcome.
Run by Idris Fertout — a London DJ and record collector who
curates it. The fair happens roughly every other month, with pop-ups in
between, and most editions are at Next Door Records on Uxbridge Road in
Shepherd's Bush. He is on Instagram at
@idris_fertout.
It is free, and it stays free. If you would like to help keep it going,
you can
buy the project a coffee.
